The Robinsons Road level crossing removal project in Deer Park was a significant milestone for the community and the Victorian Government. With the level crossing's removal in September 2022, it marked a significant step forward in the government's commitment to eliminate level crossing infrastructure across the state.
The project was completed months ahead of schedule, delivered by Fulton Hogan and LXRP, MBB provided arrange of Project Engineering services in delivery. Our team played a pivotal role in ensuring the project's success, offering a range of services, including rail occupation planning, interface management, design coordination, safety advisory, and constructability services. Our team was dedicated to ensuring that the project was delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while minimizing the impact on the local community.
The removal of the level crossing has had a significant impact on the local community, resulting in reduced travel times, improved safety, and traffic flow, and better connections for pedestrians and cyclists. The new underpass and rail bridge have created a safer and more accessible environment for all, improving the overall amenity ofthe area.
